Entry for July 31, 2007

I posted a few new pics at photobucket...I have more..just havent gotten them in
yet :) Meanwhile, Ray is using 2 word sentences "bye bye mommy" "Hi
Daddy" "mommy no" "BIG bus" and is starting to name characters other
than just favorites like bert & ernie, cookie and of course as always,
Melmo (heehee) He LOVES to wrestle and tickle with us on the floor
pillows and has a very cute sense of humor. He likes to dance to his
fridge DJ music and if we're in the car and a song he likes comes on,
he'll start bopping up and down in his car seat. The thing that cracks
us up the most is when we sing the wheels on the bus and he gets to the
babies saying "Waah Waah Waah"..it's HILARIUOUS! I have to get more
videos on the site, however, we're between video cameras so there may
be a lapse in videos for this time frame :(
We just got back from NY. We saw Grandpa Sterling and our Long Island
family (Meris, Allen, Ariel, Erica, Steph, Doug, Nicholas & the newest
addition Lucas) then headed up and spent time with Aunt Beth, Uncle
Steve, Emily & Annie! Ray got to see monarch caterpillars & cocoons
(too bad we didnt get to see the actual monarchs)Ray did very very good
for the drive. It took us just over 8 hours to get there and he didnt
cry or complain at all. (maybe a little in the end before he fell
asleep almost in Grandpa Sterling's driveway!) He really is a great
traveler! We stopped along the way and he got to sit on the biggest rock
he'd ever seen and also on the branch of a big tree (mommy right there
holding of course!)all in all, a good trip. When we got back, we went
to a small beach for the 1st time! When he saw the water, he started to
giggle like crazy! and BOY did he love that! He definitely has my water
gene. He's a natural...he already is trying to dog paddle! He lost his
balance once and went under the water...dont worry, I was right there
to scoop him up, and after he was done coughing, right back in he
wanted! We played in the sand for a little bit after that. which by the
way, he made sure to tell us was 'Hot'! We have plenty of pics and
video of that so I'll get it up tonight :)
P.S. below is the link to where we keep ALL the Boogie photos!

Entry for July 30, 2007

And so it begins....This is Boogie playing a toddler game my Aunt & Uncle sent home with us. Now he will point and ask for his "dap dop" (Lap top)

we realized that he couldnt reach very well.. so we put him in his highchair seat and he sits there just like us playing on his dap dop...

Very cute :)

My little funny man!!

I WISH I had a picture of this!!!

The other night, while playing with crayons, Ray stepped on a few and
slid to his butt. He was ok..and I laughed. He thought this was
HILARIOUS! so he proceeded to "slip" to his butt at least a dozen more
times with a few "slips" to a completely prone position where he "swam"
in the crayons...no shit..really. Of course this had me laughing even
harder...
So, THIS is how people find the road to comedy! Watch your Concert
listings in 2027...He's gonna be BIG!

Entry for July 10, 2007

What the....

Tonight Ray and I were playing in the back yard. He was getting up to throw bird seed and then sitting back in my lap to look for birds with me. I would mimic the bird call so he would know which one I was listening to and he actually would look around trying to find the bird...how cool is that! It was amazing concentration for such a little person! THEN, I heard a plane going overhead and asked if he heard it. He started looking up to try and find it. Damned if that little stinker didnt find this teeny little plane way up in the sky before even I found it! Started telling me "there" ("deh") and running down the yard to get a better look!

I am continuously amazed on a daily basis at what my little man is capable of ....

He'll be creating a cure for cancer next week (roflmao!)

Check it out!

Kind of cool...we bought Ray a potty..he's sitting in it and watchng TV (we have it in the living room right now) but he's pretty proud if it. The funniest thing is when he pulls the potty part out and puts his foot through it. He yells for us and says "Stuck!" (LOL!)

It's a Dahddoo

He LOVES his Dahdoo..I mean Tattoo.. so weve been carefully washing around it so it stays longer...yes, he'll show it proudly to just about anyone that asks!

100' weather coming up this week

I just thought I would share a picture to remind us that while this 100' week goes by, there is coolness to come. When it's cold, we wish for summer....when it's hot, we wish for winter ;)

Personally, I'm still searching for the place that stays at 50 or under humidity and nothing higher than 73'...I here it's somewhere by Margaritaville ;) (chuckle)

sigh-whats that saying about spilt milk?

: For your comic relief, I will share one quick story from this morning..more of a warning to all of you that have old corell out there, lurking in your cabinets...waiting...

Everyone knows that if you drop Corell dishes, they dont break. Unbelievable stuff! You think to yourself, "self, this stuff is great!. I dropped this plate and it didnt break..WOOHOO!" well, dont be so self assured. All those drops build up over the years. Like a bank account of mayhem waiting to happen. Sometimes, it's that last drop that does it...it hits the floor and explodes in little Corell shards across the floor and you think "damn...I guess they can break" but sometimes, the destruction is sneaky, hidden, lurking! Like what happened to my bowl this morning..... I'm innocently sitting on the couch (already late, mind you) trying to woof down a bowl of cereal. I get 1 (yes folks ONE) bite of cereal into my mouth and I hear CRACK! I look down and in my hands where a bowl of cereal once was, is a pile of white Corell shards, cereal and whats left of the milk not streaming down my lap into the couch! I'm in such disbelief, I actually sit there for 3 heart beats my brain trying to make sense of what I'm looking at before mad-dashing for the kitchen sink to try and get at least some of the milk down the drain. Now I'm standing there..I'm soaked, the couch is soaked (and we all know what happens if you dont clean up spilled milk) I'm WAAAAY late for work and it's most definitely Monday. Yes my friends, Corelle DOES break. So, beware that innocent looking plate or bowl...it's time could be almost up. I worry that I have 8 more of those landmines in the cabinet..what will it be next time? Spaghetti? Matzo soup? clam chowder?
